Adventure motorcycles are becoming a trend in the Indian two-wheeler market and there are some really good motorcycles in that category, such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM adventure, Yezdi adventure, and Hero xpulse 200 200. Now the Japanese motorcycle brand Suzuki just came into the Indian market to beat all these motorcycles, by the name of the v Strom sx.  If you are a Adv lover like me, then you should know what are the Japanese brand Suzuki offers with their latest V-Strom SX.

Suzuki V-Strom SX design

In terms of the design, the Suzuki V-Strom SX is different from the Suzuki V-Strom 250, which is offered in the international market. The international market motorcycle looks quite similar to the 650s and the thousand v storm and that one is bulky and a bit heavy as well.

The Suzuki v-storm sx is built on the gixxer 250 it means it shares the same engine, most of the same chassis, some of the same body parts and a lot more but this bike is designed to be a mass-market adv. Suzuki may not have spent too much time on the styling v Strom sx, because they already have the v-Strom range to draw inspiration from; the sx proudly displays the same silhouette as its larger siblings. The v-storm sx is a more compact package, the crisp yet purposeful front beak draws back into a slim bodywork that comprises fuel tank covers flanked by a pair of small fairing elements and most of the lower half of the motorcycle including the wheels are finished in black but it makes up for it with a couple of extremely vibrant colours. the front wheel which is now a 19-inch wheel as opposed to the 17-inch wheel that we've seen on the gixxer 250. the rear panel is also shared with the gixxer 250 but because it stands out in these bright neon colours it really does catch your eye. The instrument cluster is simple to use and its displays all the basic items along with bluetooth connectivity in a clear and crisp format.

Suzuki V-Strom SX power and performance

Suzuki V-Strom SX which is offered here in India has been powered by this similar 4 valve, 4-stroke, Single-cylinder, oil-cooled, SOHC engine which is offered in the gixxer 250.

It makes 26.5 bhp and 22 Nm of peak torque at 7000 rpm,  there have been no changes to the state of tune or gearing from the gixxer. but this is an adv and the engine which is there in the Gixxer 250 is good for the long tools and the city riding but according to the adv we have to see what Suzuki has offered because the adv motorcycles are totally different they need to have more torque to do the off-roading as well now the international model which we have talked about also has a liquid cooled and a parallel twin cylinder engine well they could have offered the same to us but unfortunately the engine we have been offered is of gixxer 250 which is already running their gixxer series. Now being an adv you want this motorcycle to do a lot of off-roading right no this motorcycle is more focused for the soft off-roading and more of a touring motorcycle you will get a 19 inch front and a 17 inch rear wheel which has alloy wheels not the spoke wheel so this is the first minus point that this motorcycle cannot do a hardcore off-roading and  this gets a dual channel abs but the abs is not switchable so that's the another difference what makes it a soft off-roader not a hardcore off-roader.

Suzuki V-Strom SX ride comfort

The Suzuki V-Strom SX gets a very comfort-oriented rider's triangle with a comfortable seat. The seat great for long hours in the saddle off-road though the 19-inch wheels and the knobby tires come into their element the grip even on loose surfaces will surprise you and that really inspires confidence the slim tank is easy to hold on to make sure that you're really connected to the motorcycle when you're standing on the pegs tall riders though may find it more comfortable to use stack risers for better range. The ground clearance of the Suzuki v-Strom sx is 205 mm the seat height is at 835 mm which makes it a tall motorcycle so the short riders will face some difficulties hopping on but then there is a plus point that the Suzuki v-Strom sx just weights 167 kgs it will be really helpful to go on the long rides and do the off-roading with such a weight category.

Suzuki V-Strom SX price

The price of the Suzuki V-Strom SX is a little on the higher side about a little more than 2 lakh rupees. with the price tag of 2.11 lakh ex-showroom, it is an all-rounder motorcycle that can do your soft off-roading that can do your cruising and city riding as well.

Suzuki V-Strom SX competitor

Talking about the competitors and the biggest competitor in the segment is the ktm adventure 250 that motorcycle got a lot of power that makes around 30 bhp but it will cost you Rs. 25000 more. The v-storm has an advantage of the pricing and that's the biggest advantage because when you are spending so much money you are expecting a lot of things but then yes the KTM adventure does offer you a lot of things and will do better off-roading as we are expecting from it, then we have another motorcycle in the segment as well and those are the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the yes the adventure now these motorcycles are the proper off-roader which gets a 21-inch front wheel which will give you a lot better off-roading experience at the same price and there is another motorcycle which will cost you less and give you the same level of experience guess that's the Hero xpulse 200 and hero experts have done a really good job by offering the rally kit.
